Building Blog Traffic

Blog Traffic5 Building Blog Traffic
Building blog traffic is probably the number one reason why most business fail, and why some succeed. If you learn to develop consistent traffic to your blog, you will achieve internet wealth. It is important that you know what your blog is about, how to use blog plug-ins, and how to go about performing search engine optimization as well as keyword research.

What is your blog about?

This is the most important question when it comes to building traffic to your blog. You must know what your blog is about in order to know what kind of visitors you should direct to your blog. For example, if your blog is about a whole bunch of different concepts and subjects, it will be really hard to target a specific audience. It is important to find a highly specific niche, and center your whole weblog around that specific niche or subject. That way, if your site is about “puppy training & obedience”, then you know that you will have to attract puppy owners to the site.

How to build traffic using plug-ins

There are many users who use WordPress. Most blogging experts recommend wordpress because of its ease of use, ability to adapt and change, and the ability to use plug-ins to ease the process of normally complicated tasks. There are some plug-ins out there that submit your article to hundreds of social book-marking sites, and therefore thousands of readers. Knowing what plug-ins to use for wordpress is a job in itself, but once you’ve figured out the winning formula, you will be an unstoppable blogging force!

Search Engine Optimization & Keyword Research

These are by far the best, free ways, to attract visitors to your website. By performing Search Engine Optimization, you will be able to attract targeted visitors to your website, therefore heightening the chances of the visits converting into sales or clicks. Keyword Research is important because it is important to find keywords that are highly searched, but have extremely low competition. When you write a blog post on a great keyword, that article will attract a great amount of targeted visitors.

You will become a successful blog owner if you find out what your blog is about, learning how to utilize the amazing power of wordpress plug-ins, and learning the ways of Search Engine Optimization & keyword research.

Get More Traffic For Your Blog

Blog Traffic12 Get More Traffic For Your Blog
Many people would like to get more traffic for their blog. But how can this be achieved? Here is a method that has worked for me.

There are absolutely tons of gurus and “experts” on the internet nowadays, telling you about this technique or that technique of SEO, or about some software that will explode your website traffic figures to make you a billionaire by next Tuesday, without you having to lift a finger. It seems to me that most of their methods are just wishful thinking or made-up stuff. It is also very interesting that most of them involve some cash outlay by you, which cash goes into the pockets of the guru.

I have found a way of generating a steady stream of traffic to your blog. This method will almost certainly not give instant results, but it will give solid results in terms of increased traffic over a reasonably short period of time.

And the beauty of it is, you will not have to lay out so much as a single penny. Not to me, not to anyone.

This is how it works. First you start a blog on one of the free blogging platforms, such as wordpress.com or blogger.com. Add some AdSense and maybe a few affiliate links. These can be fairly unobtrusive, they do not have to jump out into the reader’s face. In fact it is probably better if they do not. Once you have your blog set up, post one article per day on the blog for a month. At the end of the month, you will have a blog that has about 30 posts, and you will be getting a modest but steady stream of visitors.

In the second month, post one article every week. Then in the following three months, post an article on the blog each month. After this time, your traffic should be flowing in at a constant rate, and it will thereafter run on autopilot. Check the blog stats occasionally. If it starts to dip, just post another article and the traffic will rise again. You can even bring up the traffic by adding a comment in your name as a kind of update on one of your own posts!

I know that all of this works, because I have done it myself. This is not a made-up thing, it is a proven method.

Experience seems to indicate that the blog should be focussed, that is, that the articles should all be on pretty much the same subject or topic. This is often described as “blogging to a niche”. People say that you should do this so your readers are clear on what the blog is about, but that is not the reason at all. Your readers do not mind one way or the other. The reason for the focus is so that the SEARCH ENGINES know what the blog is about, because search engines LOVE categories. So if you are interested in a lot of different things, why then, start a lot of different blogs!

When I tried this method out the first time, at the end of the first month the blog was getting around 300 visitors a day. Now if you have AdSense, you will get roughly 1 in 10 visitors clicking on an ad, each one generating an income of about 10c a click for you, giving you $3 a day or $90 a month. Now that may not sound like very much, but remember that this is for an initial cash outlay of absolutely nothing. And once the blog reaches the autopilot stage, you are getting cash for doing nothing at all. Leaving you free to do what you want. Maybe start another blog?

Now, I am not going to try to sell you an ebook, or even give you an ebook worth $97 absolutely FREE, in return for you adding yourself to my mailing list so I can send you a whole string of pointless emails that try to sell you something you do not want. Once you have tried the method above, you will be able to write your own ebook. So leave the gurus and “experts” to it. They cannot even agree among themselves. The biggest secret, which is really no secret, is that you need to have patience, and experiment, experiment, EXPERIMENT!
