internet marketer. In fact, you probably don't even distinguish between the two when you hear them. There is also Old School and New School versions of both of these types of marketers as well as a hybrid version. You may be asking so what? Who cares what they call themselves? They all want to sell me their opportunity. Ahh, but how they go about selling their opportunity and how they teach you how to sell your opportunity is a key element. And when you hear certain do's & don't from them you'll understand WHY they say what they say and if you should apply their techniques to what you are trying to do. And you'll be able to discern who's talking rubbish and who's talking from experience and expertise.

Let me start off with the term: Network Marketer. Think back to the original days of Amway or Shaklee. These old school network marketers did what we now call belly to belly presentations, hotel meetings, business cards exchanges and they picked up the phone and called everybody and their brother they knew and their brother's brothers! They quite literally pounded the phone. They created huge lists of resources and databases of everybody they knew. They built relationships with people & got referrals upon referrals. They literally created a network of people they knew and kept on expanding it to all the people their people knew and so and so and so on...

This worked and it still works today. The reason? Even with technology today ,people still want and need to by from people they know, from a referral or people they have done business with in the past.

But the average person looking to make some extra money on the side just didn't want or have the desire to make all those calls. They were too shy and embarrassed to contact their friends and family or even if they were all revved up at first when they joined, they got knocked down within the first couple of weeks. Face it, we all know what we felt like when someone we knew told us they were selling Amway or Rainbow Vacuum Cleaners!

Then along came the internet.....and they took their rolodex and imported (hand typed) them into a database and now they could communicate to all of their customers, prospects, distributors with a click of a button! WOW! Mail Merge was huge! MLM business started popping up on the internet and they could just send some emails and their loyal followers went running to their website and because they had a PRIOR BUSINESS RELATIONSHIP with these network marketers they bought from them and they went right down the line (hence the term downline line) & were making a killing.

Then we of course went through the pyramid schemes and MLM companies that offered no real products. And gave MLM a rotten name. (We still have them and people still buy into them) No matter what industry you are in you will always have the unscrupulous that will take advantage of the naive.

Then the systems guys created the websites that DO IT ALL FOR YOU! GET PAID TODAY! Direct Sales! Just drive the traffic, no need to make Cold Calls, No Bugging your friends and family & No Sorting - You just drive the traffic and our site will do the rest! 2 Ups and 1 Ups ran ramped. And then they charge you a monthly subscription service to host your website. Guaranteed income for them. The Internet Market was Born! But the Big guys had HUGE advertising budgets. They could AFFORD to drive huge amounts of traffic to their websites. The average newbie doesn't have those kinds of funds AND are failing by huge numbers. The old networkers were use to that. The idea was and still is just get as many sign ups as you can and the true network marketers will rise to the top! And that is true. They are not lying to you.

Then the Mentoring programs and consultants and the Guru's came out of the woodwork to try to instill in al that you still have to pick up the phone to build the relationships! But we Americans( 97% of us) don't want o hear that! We want to be able to buy our way in. Make huge sums of money with no experience. They pick out the 1 success story out of thousands and we believe it will happen to us. The sales letters are really to blame, but one has to some of the responsibility...Huh? The systems guys know that. So they keep rolling out new marketing site that promise the world. And some of these sites really are well put together, but the truth of the matter is most people still need to make a connection with YOU before they buy. They buy on emotion. You have to learn how to trigger that emotion and build the relationship to get the sales. Period.

Now the internet marketer understands that they must build relationships but they don't want to do it belly-to belly or via hotel presentations. So how do you accomplish that? Article writings, press releases, blogging and oh the ever so popular social network sites that are popping up every day! But the successful ones understand something else. They separate themselves from the masses. If you are doing everything everyone else is doing, do you stand out? Nope. They create their own capture pages and websites. They ARE NOT using the companies affiliate sites. They are not even marketing their business opportunity up front. These guys ARE making money. Good Money. 6K and above. Problem? They are not duplicatable. Again, the average American doesn't have the desire or knowledge to do what these guys do. The internet marketers are telling you the old school guru's are off out of date, that you don't need to make phone calls, bug friends and family, sort thru hundreds and thousands to find the few good ones. And to a degree they are right. On the other hand, the network marketer now has seminars charging you thousands to teach you what you need to know, hence making himself duplicatable. Guess What? In both cases 2%-3% will rise up and become successful. Both as a network marketer student and as a Internet marketer student. It's the 2% Rule. 2% of the people hold 95% of the wealth.

Great, so what are the other 98% to do? We know there has to be way. And where there is a will there is a way. A blending of the 2 has to come together. And in essence it really is a blending of 3, traditional businesses with brick and mortar offices that use the web to sell their products, old school network marketers and the new Internet Marketers. It's called Attraction Marketing. You may seen or heard of it already but ignored, it as we Americans have become so desensitized to information. Fact is, so much garbage is thrown at us we tend to overlook the real stuff when it slaps us in the face. I know I did. And I would have quite a few hundred thousand dollars more in my pocket today if I would have taken action when the opportunity was first presented. But the good news is... it's never to late to start again in this industry, the right way. And one more thing, you have to throw in some good old fashion common sense.

Starting a business, Any Business requires due diligence on your part. And must be taken seriously. What is it you want to accomplish? Is there a real product/service involved that is going to be wanted and need ed by people everywhere? Software is a product; information is a product, (information is the NUMBER 1 selling product out there today), nutritional supplements, education, & travel. Don't buy in to a business or not buy a business based on some else success or failures. Their success or failure has absolutely NO BEARING on yours. NONE! Remember that. It's key. Make sure the product or service is something you would actually use yourself. You have to believe in your product. You have to invest in yourself and your business. Becoming a 6K or 7K earner doesn't happen without training of some sort. But take baby steps and really evaluate what it is you are buying. Learn from the leaders who have been there, done that. Have realist expectations and be creative. If it sounds too good to be true it probably is. And if any one tells you need a huge advertising budget... tell them to pound sand and run as fast as you can.

Attraction Marketing For Success in Any Network Marketing Company

I’m sure we have all heard, and some experienced first hand; the spirit breaking of on-line marketing failure at its most crippling heights. Even the top earners have been forced to levy some kind of defeat at one point or another in their marketing endeavors. This is normal and from an optimists stand-point, succeeds to identify what officially doesn’t work in a marketing campaign.

The greater part of the network marketing arena is saturated with novice marketers expecting to make millions without first doing their due diligence on researching methods, identifying cost effectiveness, and evaluating applied campaigns. Prioritizing and executing these necessary tasks have been passively overlooked to the doom and gloom of the business owners themselves.

There is no greater value to anyone in all aspects of living than the merit found in experience, but in this day and age no one has any time to learn the proper plan and execution of a network marketing strategy. This impatience, to the demise of several hundred on-line businesses monthly, has been rarely avoided and the very reason I decided to share some of my marketing secrets with you in this article.

Becoming successful in this industry will consist of 5 key elements that are crucial and extremely effective:

* Branding Yourself – The proper execution of a true marketing strategy will position YOU as the knowledgeable maestro in the whole process. People don’t conduct business with companies or products, they do business with people. Using tools such as article marketing (being applied as I type) positions you as an icon in this arena. Therefore, enabling you to build a trusting relationship with your prospects in the beginning stages of your dealings with them. You want to invest in your own capture pages and websites. Brand everything, your videos need to be seen, your story needs to be heard, your lifestyle of success must be imparted for people to desire to engage you and the products you have to offer.

* Build Your Own Lists – Most of the time, you won’t be able to monetize anyone on the first encounter you have with them on-line. That’s OK if you know how to establish a relationship for later monetizing. This is where the auto-responder plays an important role. You can drop a line once a week or so to keep them up to date with what’s going on with you (since you are branding yourself) and your projects of late. In the beginning it may not seem so important, but in the long term having a lengthy subscriber list is well worth its weight in gold. Look at it like this. Instead of making $10,000 from one person, create that same money in volume, so make just $1 from 10,000 people. This is a far-fetched example, but it really supports the point I am trying to make. After giving those 10,000 people great value for $1, they will most likely conduct business with you again. You won’t have to build anymore rapport with them because that has been done already. You just monetize them over and over again. This is why building your own list plays such a crucial role in the longevity of your business.

* Streamlined Sales Funnel (Funded Proposal) – This is a collective series of affiliate products that you market via your affiliate links to generate the income necessary to support your marketing efforts. Hence the nickname “funded proposal”. The beauty in this is all the products you market are necessary to setup a successful business–your prospects business. Therefore, creating an incremental amount of value for you in your branded marketing process, all while you increase your marketing fund in the background. There are no limits to the type of products that will suffice in this funnel. That’s up to your marketing expertise. Some top earners have managed to get really creative in this part of the process, especially the ones that stand out the most. This is because of originality, which is a by-product of branding yourself.

* Training Platform & Redistributable Marketing System – Here is where the webinars, conference calls, and even personal calls to your down-line become very important. Training people to duplicate your activities is far easier to do than you may think, simply because most people realize the value in taking a guru’s recommendations at face value. The beauty in having this so late in the process is that calls are NEVER a hassle at all. A few quick words of encouragement or insight and they’re off to their millions, people feel privileged to talk to a professional and exhibit a zeal that is extremely contagious. Its as if a celebrity picked up the phone and dialed in to the personal access number of their greatest fan…Seriously!

* Automated Recruiting System – Top earners in this industry know better than to present their opportunity to their prospects on the front-end because of the excessive presence of “on-line tire kickers” It’s marketing genius to present the opportunity on the back-end for two reasons. Number one, you exercise an important concept of modern network marketing known as G.P.T., which is Get Paid Today. You generate income from your prospects before they join your opportunity which is good in case they decide to walk away from your opportunity. Number two, You just sent your prospect through a sales funnel that helped them setup everything they are going to need to be a successful network marketer, so now they just need and excellent opportunity to market. Voila!! Now you have your newest down-line distributor.

Execute those five important steps to success, and you will earn yourself a spot on the top earners platform in no time. Be concise, consistent, and treat your on-line marketing business exactly for what it is….A Business. I learned from an extremely wise individual that you must inspect what you expect. So do your homework and connect yourselves to those that are well versed in this industry. Doing so will pay off handsomely in the long run.

I’ll leave you with this…Success is not determined by the swift ascendancy to the mountain peaks in life, but in the determination exhibited once those peaks have been confirmed as small hills in the dark clefts of the valley.

Attraction Marketing is the Franchise of Network Marketing

Over the years, many of us have been exposed to network marketing, better known as MLM, and probably don’t have many fond memories of the experience. This being the case, why should we consider this business model again when considering a home based business.

First off, the industry has changed to a large degree if you know where to look and we will talk about that in a moment. But for now lets just say that MLM is a proven business model and has created many successful entrepreneurs.

There are two other ways of going into business. You can buy into a franchise situation or go the traditional method of business. However, unless you have a ton of cash and a lot of time on your hands, these two models are not a practical way to go. At least not for the 50 plus generation. Of course with a franchise, everything is laid out for you step by step making it almost impossible to fail. With the traditional method, there are no guarantees and your success is at the mercy of trial and error and all the expenses involved. Again a ton of cash and lots of your time is required.

So, where does all this leave us. It beings us right back to network marketing. With this business model you will have none of all the normal expenses associated with starting your own business, rent, help, inventory etc. In fact, if done correctly, you can build your business on a very low budget of both time and money. Being of the senior citizen generation, time and money are a prime consideration.

As said above, network marketing has changed in recent years. Though the old way of doing network marketing is still being taught through out the net, if you know where to look, there is a new process that greatly reduces the time and money required to build your business be that online or offline. There is a new book out by an expert in the field called “The 7 Greatest Lies of Network Marketing” that you will find very informative.

The new way I am talking about is Attraction Marketing. If you have done any research at all on the search engines, I am sure you have heard about it.

What is attraction marketing and why should you consider learning all about it. Even if I did, would it work for me in my marketing efforts?

Yes! The system of attraction marketing is completely generic and will work whether your business is offline or online and regardless of the product you are offering.

Getting back to the franchise situation, where everything is laid out for you , step by step, making it almost impossible to fail as long as you follow the road map they have laid out for you. This is exactly what the attraction marketing process will do for you. Some have even called this system “The Poor Mans Franchise”. Just follow the training that they provide and plug in whatever it is you want to market and you will be doing more real marketing than 95% of any of your competition. And don’t let anyone ever tell anything differently, marketing is the life blood of any business. You must do it so you must learn it.

This process will teach you how to create a web of content through out the internet with hundreds, and soon, thousands of links, fingers, all pointing back to you and whatever it is you are marketing. Your clients will be seeking you out. They will know who you are and what you have to offer. You will never again need to spend you time and money looking for them. Can you imagine how quickly your business and income will grow if you only need to spend your time with people who come to you already interest in you.

But the best thing about this whole process, as far as I’m concerned, is that much of what you will learn and be doing, will be cost free or at least very low cost. The old way of internet marketing, buying leads, running after friends and family and others who probably have no interest at all in going into business, is dead. It don’t work if ever it did.

However, this process of attraction marketing will require you to to possess and exercise three qualities. 1. Belief- You must have belief in yourself that you can do this and belief that the process will work. It will and you can.

2. Discipline- this system will work for you but you must be willing to work the system. Remember the franchise situation, laid out step by step, the same thing applies here. But there are no inspectors checking up on you to make sure you are following guidelines. With this franchise, it’s completely up to you.

3. Patience- This system will work as long as you are willing to do whatever is you need to do, even if you don’t want to. Plus it won’t happen overnight but you will be amazed at how fast it happens. We are only talking months here folks and not the years it will take doing it any other way.

This is a proven and viable business model. It has been proven as a business model and unless you have a ton of cash and time to spend building a home based business, this sis the only way to go. Learn the attraction marketing system and you will on your way. You don’t need to know it all, I don’t, just take that first step and get started and you can learn whatever else you need as you go., OJT.

Attraction Marketing – Why Mike Dillard Changed My Outlook on Network Marketing

Let’s face the hard core facts. Building a business can be difficult. Let me reword that, it will be difficult. You will always run into problems and challenges. It seems like the people who are able to overcome the challenges and not give up are the ones who make the most money in network marketing. I ran into the concept called attraction marketing from Mike Dillard and it changed the way that I think.

What I was previously taught was to call everyone I know. To literally put over one hundred names on a list and call them to invite them to a hotel meeting or hotel party. Needless to say, that didn’t work at all. As a matter of fact, it made people not want to even hang out with me. I was known as that business guy who just wants your money.After failing so much, I ran into attraction marketing. Basically, it teaches you how to become an alpha network marketer. What this means is to become so attractive and valuable, that people will flock to you. And not just any people that is, it is the right type of people who will fit into your business.

I feel that we one reason people quit is because they spend so much energy on people who are not serious. If you worry about non qualified people, attraction marketing is the way to go.

Most of the concepts I have never heard before, mainly because I was never taught them. If you would have told me 2 years ago that I could have prospects calling me to find out what business I am in, I would have laughed at you.

Start branding yourself as a leader in the home business industry and you can make this happen. I don’t care how you do it; just make sure you separate yourself from the rest of the affiliates promoting your product or service.

Attraction Marketing – Put Your Marketing on Auto-Pilot

Years ago when I was looking to add new clients, I had to proactively go out and seek them.The marketing strategies I used included networking  along with keeping in touch with my contact list of friends and business associates in the hopes they would refer clients when appropriate.

These relationship marketing efforts supported my business 100% in the early years.

But, although I’m embarrassed to admit it because I should know better, when I got busy and had plenty of client work, I fell off my marketing wagon.

I just didn’t have the time. Or, I guess one could argue, I just didn’t make the time to keep up my proactive marketing efforts.

So what happened if I lost a client or two, and suddenly needed more work? I’d have to quickly rev-up my marketing in the hopes I could generate more work in a short amount of time.

Not an ideal scenario by any stretch. But it’s also pretty typical, especially for independent service professionals.

Then, several years ago, I discovered attraction marketing.

With attraction marketing you attract qualified leads TO your business so you don’t have to go out chasing them.

You forget about “selling” and you focus on “serving.”

And just like a magnet, you start attracting prospects and clients. They see you or hear you or read something you’ve written and if it resonates with a problem or need they have, they come to you.

Can you imagine what it would be like to have potential clients emailing you, calling you and visiting your web site all on their own?

Instead of you having to track them down and convince them to call, email or visit your website?

That’s attraction marketing. And it’s so much easier and comfortable than traditional sales and marketing.

And, if you do a good job of creating a very clear and concise positioning for yourself and your business, you’ll attract exactly the right clients and anyone who is not a good fit for your services will not be attracted.

Talk about saving time! You no longer have to wade through an entire list of prospects to find the ones who are a good fit. And you no longer have to rely on cold-calling or other more traditional sales methods to get work.

You can actually focus on doing what you do best and THAT is what attracts clients to you. Yes, you do have to put a few elements in place to start generating awareness of you and your services, but again it becomes more about serving than selling.

The best part is, you can get off the revenue roller coaster and create a more steady business this way. Because you always have new prospects coming into your marketing funnel.

Attraction marketing doesn’t have to replace your other methods of marketing. For example, I still network and keep up with my relationship marketing and speaking/teleseminars. But it sure is an easy way to really step up your results and practically put your marketing on auto-pilot.
