MLM offers regular people an affordable way to start their own business. The fulfillment of this dream sadly becomes a fleeting moment for the majority of the MLM population.

The dream of business ownership is real. Owning a business gives people the ability to control their own destiny as well as their financial future. When sharing our business opportunity we are selling this dream.

A small number of us do realize the dream, but there are so many more that the dream turns into a money ******* nightmare. Understanding what causes so many to fail will help you to truly sell the dream and not become a perpetuator of nightmares.

We play a roll in both sides of this MLM coin. The information we provide on our products as well as the business building tools we share with our downline can be the deciding factors in the success or failure of our business and the business’ of the people we bring on board. Look at what you promise and what you provide and decide if you are a fostering a dream or perpetuating a nightmare.

Our willingness to portray our products and business in an honest light certainly will give these dreamers a clear picture of what they will have to do in order to realize their own dreams gives them the upper hand when they are getting started. We have a responsibility when we take these people under our wings as part of our downline to give them the best of what is available.

Our primary focus for our new business partners should be assisting them to get their new business into profit. The quick and easy way to do this is to help them market their products. In order to do this effectively we have to have a firm grasp on our product line and be willing to educate our downline on what our product is and isn’t.

Product education is the first step in becoming an expert and the ability to portray yourself as an expert will go a long way in your ability to market your product and your business opportunity. When we share this with our downline we are helping them to create a business that is product based and also helping them to become an expert on their products.

So many MLM company’s have drifted away from the product line and turned their focus to just business building. Think about the things that attracted you to your business. Sure, the money aspect played a roll in your decision making process, but when you think back to your own early days, wasn’t it the product line that got you excited?

Lets face it, there are a few at the top who probably make a good living simply by bringing in business partners, but all of us didn’t have the gift of “timing” so we have to work our business. For the rest of us we need to foster our downline’s dreams and teach them how to market their product line. Your ability to achieve this could mean the difference between helping to fulfill a dream or creating a nightmare.

Making money online is becoming more and more popular. The Idea of being able to stay at home, working your own hours and answering only to yourself is appealing to anyone but is it actually possible to make money from your computer without any special knowledge?

You will probably already know that if you search the web for money making opportunities you will find thousands (probably millions) of pages claiming that they can help you (within weeks) quit your day job, make millions and live on a beach working only an hour a day. If you have any common sense you will also probably know that this is nothing but worthless hype. It’s pretty much impossible.

On the other hand there are a lot of legitimate money making opportunities out there. You just have to know where to look. There are many ways to make a living from your PC. Many people go down the EBay route, sourcing cheap products and selling them on EBay for a profit. Many people try paid surveys or reading emails for money.
There are many more routes but I’m going to stop there.

In my opinion there’s only one way to start making cash online legitimately with low start up costs and even less effort. That way is affiliate marketing. Simply put this is where you send people to a website that sells a certain product. If that person makes a purchase when being referred by you, you get paid commission. It is a simple idea that has been popular on the net for years now.

Of course it’s not quite as simple as that. It does require you to know what you are doing as there’s a lot of competition, but thankfully there’s a lot of ways to go about it.

The buzzword these days is “relationship” marketing. Just what is it? And why is it important? Relationship marketing is so much more than “networking. It’s gathering support of your friends, peers, and business contacts. It’s developing strong, lasting, unique relationships with your most valuable asset, your customer. It’s what keeps people “coming back for more.” It’s an excellent way to shorten the traditional routes of building trust, create opportunities, increase valuable contacts, to achieve success and excel in business.

Every opportunity you have to meet new people is an opportunity to grow your business! If you are willing to invest your time, networking is a process, and the payoffs are almost immeasurable. It’s not realistic to expect instant success. It takes time. You can plan your networking opportunities to shorten the time it takes to build those relationships.

What do you want and need to accomplish? Do you want to develop lifelong individual customers, land large accounts, or make an impact in your community? You will accomplish all three by getting involved in your local civic organizations, Chambers of Commerce, Business Associations, Non-Profit organizations, etc. One of the best ways to get to know people “up close and personal” is to volunteer to serve on a committee; give your time and talent to a cause. People want to do business with people who have similar interests and values.

Whom do you need to meet to accomplish your goals? And where do you meet them? Angel Cicerone, Associate Editor of the South Florida Business Journal says, “If you’re going fishing, go where the fish are.” Focus your efforts by being in the right place at the right time. It’s not just who you meet, but how and where you meet them. Meeting people in the “right places” adds credibility to that meeting. That’s not to say that striking up a conversation in the supermarket has no value. It does. It’s just that if you want to develop first class contacts, you must fly first class.

If you are flying first class, those sitting in the same section will view you as a peer. Of course, there’s no guarantee you’ll make those great contacts. However, if you don’t fly first class, you’ll never know. It may be worth the investment. The same people flying first class can also be found at those events, fundraisers and conferences in which you participate. Go where the people you wish to network with will be!

Are you willing to invest the time it takes to achieve your goals? How much time is enough? Begin with the end in mind. The key to relationship marketing’s success is to know what it is you want to accomplish. To start networking, you have to set your foot in the door.

Residual Income 3 Ways to Earn Residual Income
There are 2 kinds of incomes that are different from each other. One is Linear income and one is residual income. Let’s take a quick look at the differences:

Linear Income-

This is the kind of income that many people earn today with their jobs. You work 10 hours a day, you get paid for 10 hours. You work half a day, you get paid for 5 hours. You don’t work, you don’t get paid. When a person stops working, their income stops too.

Residual Income-

This is an income that keeps coming in month after month for work that you did in the past. Even if you stop working, the money will still come in.

Today, I would like to show you a few examples of how people are earning residual income.

1) Residual Royalties – This term is used for the residual income that an artist or an author receives. An authors will write a book and then make a deal with the publisher to give him or her a percentage of the book’s sale. Every time a book is sold, the author and publisher will each get a certain percentage of that sale.

Same thing goes with an artist. They will make a record and anytime a CD is sold, the artist and the recording company will get it too.

2) Residual Interest – When you lend money to other people, you would surely charge them interest. Once your lending debt is paid off from the lenders, the extra income that you will get in going to be icing on the cake.

3) Residual Commission – This type of residual income is being used in network marketing.

This is how it works:

Let’s say that you change your buying habits and buy your monthly supplements from the company each month for $100. Now, you tell 5 other people to do the same and join the company under you. So the first month, you and the other 5 people each produce $100 which equals to $600.

Let’s say that month 2, your 5 people each get 5 people. So then you would have 25 people plus you and the person that you sponsored yourself. That would be 27 people each producing $100 each. That would be $2,700. If the company would pay YOU 10% of that, you income would be $270.

That 2nd month’s income will not get you too far and won’t buy you a nice house with nice cars in it, but let’s keep going and let me show you the power of leverage.

Let’s say that after 1 year, your group goes from 27 people to 300 people. If each one produced $100, that would be $30,000 in group volume. 10% of $30,000 is $3000 a month that you will get every month in residual income. Do you see where I am getting to?

Residual income is great but you do need to be careful if you are looking to make that kind of income. It is very true that there are scams so you do need to do some research before you jump in with both feet.
