Network Marketing – A Good Place to Begin Your Road to Financial Freedom?

I’d like to share with you some of my adventures in the world of multi-level marketing and hopefully spare you some heartache and loss of cash!

Let me start by stating that I really believe in multi-level network marketing. If you can find a product that you LOVE and believe in, and you can buy in for under $200 you might just be able to build a money generating business. The problem is that you’re going to have to weed out the enterprises that are only going to cost you time and money and dash your hopes of entrepreneurship.

Let’s start with the positive. If you’ve never sold anything in your life but work in an office with a safe, but not very lucrative, paycheck, the beauty of network marketing is that you will learn invaluable sales tools and gain major self esteem. Every time you go to a “rah rah” meeting, or listen to a group phone call with your upline and their upbeat message of financial freedom, you are learning tips and tools that will help you in life, and hopefully in your business. I tend to be a glass is half empty person, and I **** that about myself.

One of the wonders of MLM literature and verbal rhetoric is the unstoppable enthusiasm in the power of the product and how every individual in America, and sometimes the world, must have this product to make their lives complete. For myself personally, it is always a good reminder that I can be that upbeat, positive person, and that’s a good thing for my self esteem and outlook on life. You will also meet people just like yourself who have a dream of bettering their life and their family’s life and you’re likely to form some wonderful friendships.

Here are a few tips to save you some heartache. When you are looking at a product ask a few important questions:

1. Would I use this product? Do I believe in this product? If you do, put your money where your mouth is and go ahead and buy the product! Someone at some point is going to ask you if you use it and you’d better be! Otherwise, how will you be able to truly recommend it?

2. How much money out of pocket will I need to begin this business? Include the membership fee and all materials. If you’re not careful you can lose your shirt on training costs, brochures, logo inscribed clothing, and handouts.

3. How many levels deep is my downline and what is my commission when they sell? This will help motivate you to build a team and let the team begin to work hard for you.

4. If I develop a team, can they surpass me in earnings, i.e., if they do more sales than I and get to a management level above me, will I lose any potential earnings? For myself there is no incentive in seeing someone I brought into the company end up succeeding wildly and my not being able to participate in the earnings outcome.

5. Who is my upline? Will I be provided with good support? Will someone be there to train me and answer my questions?

6. Find some people who are NO LONGER involved in the company and ask them why they left. Most people currently involved will only paint a rosy picture, which is what they are supposed to do, but sometimes you need to peek behind the smiles in order to see if this is the right product for you.

7. Do not believe the people who tell you that they spend 1 or 2 hours a day and reap unbelievable financial wealth. It’s just not true. The people who I have seen who succeed in MLMs spend many hours of hard work, at least in the beginning, to get their money making machine well oiled and producing.

Attraction Marketing Puts a Whole New Face on MLM Marketing For Today’s Home Based Business

attraction marketing12 Attraction Marketing Puts a Whole New Face on MLM Marketing For Todays Home Based Business
Today’s customers won’t tolerate sales pitches being thrown at them. They know what they want and how to get it. So the marketers of today have to learn how to put their product or services where the customers are. The internet! But many network marketers are stuck in the old model, still throwing home parties and selling to everyone they run into. But it doesn’t have to be that way! Now every stay at home mom, every employee stuck in a dead end job, and anyone that has had dreams of starting their own business can get the knowledge necessary to change their life.

We live in an exciting time. We have choices and access to things our parents and grandparents couldn’t even dream about. Most people spend their lives getting up every morning going to a job they **** because they can’t see any other way to make enough money to pay their bills. The idea of owning their own business was a dream as far fetched as flying to the moon. Except for network marketing. This was reserved for mothers of school children to be done with home parties and usually for “fun money”. The only people that made any real money were the distributors and large companies that started the business. But by the time the profit trickled down to the home marketer it was watered down to such a degree that people usually made little if any money at all.

Their upline talked about things like the 3-foot-rule, warm markets, your “why”, etc, etc. But what most marketers learned was that it was too hard, it took too much time away from their families, and usually because of the cost of supplies, inventory, samples, and gasoline (to mention just a few) they lost money instead of making it. So most people dropped out within the 1st 3 months.

Then along came the internet, people are buying like they never did before. They have access to services and products that they never knew existed but they can’t live without. The only problem for the home network marketer was that they were not on this new network! Millions of people looking for something to buy and they are not there! Why? Because they didn’t know how! Fear that only “computer geeks” could figure it out. Fear that it was only for big business. Fear that is would cost too much money to hire someone to design a website for them. Fear it was too hard. Fear they were not smart enough. Fear that they tried network marketing once and lost money and don’t want to loose any more. The list goes on and on. But the worst of all is fear of failure. And based on statistics, that fear is not ungrounded.

But the times are changing. We have entered into a new age. An age of social marketing and Web 2.0. An age where every child, grandmother and everyone in between is surfing the net, posting things on You Tube, My Space, Facebook, and setting up Blogs like there is no tomorrow. And today’s network marketer has a golden opportunity, never before seen, that can take them from rock bottom to the pinnacle of success so fast they won’t know what hit them. The only problem is that most network marketers don’t know that. And the ones that do are themselves surfing the net, bombarded by other network marketers using the internet to sell the ultimate marketing system. So the “3-foot-rule” is still there but it has evolved to the “fingertip-rule” (in case you have not heard of this yet it is because I just made it up) where everyone you ever wanted to sell to is on their keyboard which is right under their fingertips.

So now network marketing [http://www.marketingmerge.com/network-marketing/#6] has become internet network marketing. We have to learn new phrases like MLM and affiliates, monetizing and attraction marketing. And it is all very confusing for the average person just starting out. Which system do you use? They all look good. Of course they should for the money that was probably spent developing their landing page and/or lead capture page (more terms you have to learn). They all promise to make you rich, if not overnight then certainly within the month. But how do you determine the good ones from the scams?

Well I believe in making money, I believe in the American dream, but I also believe that nothing in life is free and that it takes hard work and dedication to achieve real success. The kind that lasts. So I believe that with the exception of a very few people that are able to do this on their own, the new network marketers need to do their research, possibly take the leap and buy a system or two that won’t break the bank until they find the system that works for them. A system that teaches all about social marketing and all the other things that the internet has to offer. Teaches them how to start a few blogs, write a few articles, get a domain name and set up a website all in the hopes that the search engines will find them and like them enough to put their pages high enough to be found and drive traffic to them. A system that can give them the tools they need to take the first step on the road to that home business success they have been dreaming about.

The old network marketing strategies don’t work, at least not anymore. And the new age of internet attraction marketing can give marketers the confidence and courage they need to try something new.

It’s called attraction marketing because it is designed to bring your leads and prospects to you. It is a departure from the old school thinking of how to build a network business. This is not to say that people can’t make money the old way, some can. But they are few and far between. The new attraction marketing model employs tactics that can be done by anyone that has even a small budget and a few hours a week to begin with. As your time and resources grow, you can put those to use to benefit your growth in other ways offered by the internet, such as increasing your bid price on Google and Yahoo and the like to drive even more traffic to your site. There are even enterprising souls out there that have started businesses based on teaching people how to use the systems they bought to start their attraction internet marketing businesses with step-by-step instruction for beginners. I have personally benefited from using sites such as this.

In summary, our world is constantly changing. People are constantly changing. And business is constantly changing. Today it is the internet. Tomorrow…who knows? But in order to thrive in the current marketing era, Attraction Marketing is the way to go. The rest is up to you.

Attraction Marketing – 6 Ways to Ignite an MLM Downline

attraction marketing5 Attraction Marketing 6 Ways to Ignite an MLM Downline
If your network marketing business has reached a solid level yet you’re in that zone where no matter what you do, you cannot increase your current level of income, don’t panic because there are things you can do to ignite that elusive spark and get the income flowing more freely.

Many network marketers immediately think about firing their company and looking for greener pastures. The question needs to be asked…if you have a down line of some depth, then why would you do this. Unless the company is about to go out of business fair enough but if it is going solidly, forget it.

Another mistake network marketers make repeatedly is trying to maximize their income producing efforts. By this, we mean trying to run more than one business. No matter how good you are as a network marketer, trying to operate two or more network marketing businesses is nearly impossible.

For a start, when you have leads coming into your funnel, which company do you direct them to? What happens if they join one of your opportunities and find out you’re involved with several others? And more importantly, what about your reputation after teaching your prospects one way and one company’s benefits yet you’re out there promoting other companies. Don’t do it.

And worse still, what about your focus? It’s hard enough trying to build one network marketing business let alone two, three or even more at the same time.

How To Breathe Life In Your MLM Business

The answer is not to look for another company. Here are ways to build a bigger fire under your network marketing business:

1. Look at your recruiting methods. Are you still concentrating on old outdated MLM methods offline?

2. If what’s not working for you is also not going to work for your down line.

3. Look at moving your recruiting efforts online. If you’re not yet doing this then you are missing a huge opportunity to attract new, targeted prospects into your business.

4. Identify the members of your downline who are putting in a concentrated effort to build their business and work with them online.

5. Creating online real estate in the form of websites, blogs and Web 2.0 collateral needs to be your top priority.

6. Above all, create strong relationships with those in your downline prepared to get out of their comfort zones with you and in combination with the attraction marketing power of the internet, you should see magic happen and new life being breathed into your down line.

Is MLM Attraction Marketing Really For You?

There is a reason why 97% of network marketers do fail you know. To be in the 3% of people who do actually succeed in MLM you must have a 110% this is going to happen attitude. You don’t just sit around waiting for it to happen. You have no time for excuses or why it’s not working. You pick up the phone. When someone is not interested in what you have to offer, you simply forget about them FAST and keep going…

Successful people don’t spend time dwelling on negative thoughts, but rather simply just keep moving forward clearing their past as they go. They don’t have time for negativity. They know this is the poison of the masses.

Here are 3 tips to keep you on track:

1. Attitude is everything! Without an attitude you have nothing! Ensure you have a ‘can do’ feeling to everything you do. It is going to work. It’s just a matter of time and effort before it does. It doesn’t matter whether you’re having a good day or a bad day because your attitude is the same.

2. Visualise. Anyone who has ever succeeded in anything has always been clear on their end goal. Create a visionboard with you at the top of your compensation plan. Visualise yourself on stage at your next opportunity conference. That will be you up there. It’s just a matter of time. It has already happened.

3. Time Management. Successful people create goals and deadlines and then achieve them. I will have 3 people sponsored by this time. Use your time effectively. I like to use Stephen Covey’s advice which is to divide your daily tasks into four areas:

1. URGENT and important
2. URGENT and not important
3. NOT URGENT and important
4. NOT URGENT and not important

Highly effective people spend their time in quadrants 1 and 2 – URGENT tasks to be completed. Call and follow up on your prospects. Drive traffic to your capture pages. Then focus on the non-urgent tasks afterwards. If you haven’t tried dividing your daily tasks into these categories before I highly recommend it. You will be surprised at how much more productive and focused you will be. It’s a simple process which makes a huge difference.

4. Know your company! It’s true that ignorance on fire is better than intelligence on ice, however you still need to be completely up to date on everything about your company – especially the compensation plan if you’re a new network marketer. Have you been attending all of your company’s meetings lately?

5. Brand yourself as a leader. Use an MLM attraction marketing system to brand yourself as someone who has a significant presence in network marketing. Remember people follow leaders, not necessarily business opportunities. The opportunity is important, however if it hasn’t been presented by a leader – your prospects will not be signing up – period.

Where do you honestly believe you sit in all of this? How motivated are you really? Are you willing to change something in yourself today if it means you can get what you want? Start thinking like the leaders in the top 3%, and you will soon become one of them. And also, before I finish up one last thing:

Q: Do you know the difference between a millionaire and a billionaire?
A: A millionaire reads their goals twice a day, whereas a billionaire read their goal three times…

I wonder what it means that I sometimes read my goals 4 times a day – ha ha

Lucky me.

Secrets to Attraction Marketing in MLM Revealed

Attraction marketing MLM is no different than in any other industry. All of your marketing efforts try to get as many people as possible interested in your product or service. You provide them with or help them fulfill a need that they have. Attraction marketing in MLM just helps facilitate that process.

Attraction Marketing is the art and science convincing pre-qualified buyers or prospects to find what it is that you are offering and have them seek you out instead of the other way around. If you can show them that you can meet their need or help them fix their problem and in a better way than your competitors can, this greatly increases the likelihood that they will subscribe to your product or service. They go looking for something, find you and go to you for information or service.

One way to do this branding yourself out in the industry. It’s about branding yourself as an expert into the minds of all your prospects. In that way, you will be very sought after. Think of it this way? Imagine someone coming to you, looking into how to become a more successful MLMer. Who would they naturally go to? An expert of course! This is the essence of attraction marketing in MLM.

Another key element in attraction marketing in MLM is to capture their information somehow. Once they have come to you, you need their information in order to continue building that all important relationship with them. That way you can call or e-mail and continue to build a relationship with them. Ultimately since you have already established that you are an expert in what they are looking for, and provide a product or service they need, you become the hunted instead of the hunter. Utilizing attraction marketing in MLM completely changes the dynamic of a call or conversation you have with them. They want you now, right?

The key things to remember about attraction marketing in MLM are that it is no different than in any other industry. You want to pre-qualify buyers or prospects before you talk to them. You can do this by marketing yourself as an expert in your area and then capturing their information to continue building that relationship. Attraction marketing in MLM helps you become the hunted instead of the hunter.
