Compensation Strategy To Know Before Jumping In

You gotta love the home business industry.

It’s so awesome in so many ways and it has paved the ways for me to just live an awesome lifestyle.

but…..

Jumping into a home business and NOT knowing about the REAL Compensation Strategy will make it seem like your bank has a black hole just sucking down your hard earned commissions… ARRRR

Following is some video’s put together by my friend and teammate Lawrence Tam.

Compensation Strategy Video #1 – 1/2 Tier “Your The Team Effort”

1 tier compensation Compensation Strategy To Know Before Jumping In

1 Tier Compensation Example

This is where I stared and made a LOT of money… but it’s not all happy and great

Why?

You better be He-Man as your not going to get much love. All traffic needs to be self generated and 2nd tier does help but mostly won’t do much until you hit some crazy numbers well over 500 before you really know if you can duplicate… the mistake I made…

This is a great starting point but the traffic is never going to go viral. Your going to have to do all the heavy lifting and it’s going to be costly if you don’t get your traffic to income down.

Compensation Strategy Video #2 – Binary “Lost Inside”

Binary Compensation Plan Compensation Strategy To Know Before Jumping In

Binary Compensation Plan

Ah yes…. the Binary System so many companies have jumped on to.. It has made me money. It has made a lot of people okay money…

But take a look to how many are making money worth staying?

This was one of the hardest things to do… The company didn’t close but the writing was on the wall

  1. If you sponsor your close friend on a “power leg” then you basically make $0 on their monthly autoship and volume productions. If you put them in your paid leg then your going to have shafted them by not giving them the bigger leg. Plus THEY get no real love now because they too have to build their “inner” leg and if your PERSONAL volume doesn’t flow well you just made your friend have to build 2 legs… shaking head
  2. What kind of compensation is there really? Most of the binaries I’ve seen and the 2 I’ve been in do NOT have a car bonus or huge cash bonus until your on top of the comp plan with a huge downline….I’ve hit a lot of higher levels and let’s just say putting in 50+ people personally in a short period of time and I got a piece of paper that said… “thanks”
  3. Look at the corporate emails to see how many people are actually “RANK Advancing”. It’s easy to see. If you have a company that is NOT growing how do you expect to change that trend? Sure early to market is one thing but you better have a better strategy than to rely solely on the compensation strategy to make you win some nice cash kick backs. One of the companies I was in out of the ENTIRE company there were like 25 people in TOTAL that were rank advancing…. Shaking head…

Compensation Strategy Video #3 – Unilevel “Go Wide”

Unilevel Compensation Plan Compensation Strategy To Know Before Jumping In

Unilevel Compensation Plan

This is where I started and made a lot of offline money here.

I love this compensation plan except the fact people who sponsor more than #3 people will just go WIDE… yeah.. basically shafting everyone they brought in… Overflow is a very rare occurrence and even more more so once they rank advance.

If it wasn’t for going wide and that you can’t really help people because your trying to go wide to make sure to not “leave people” attached to duds who do nothing… it’s critical you do NOT pair up players to scrubs. It will kill your team atmosphere.

I mean… if this compensation plan could only have a way to put people on a waiting list so you can then pair up people AND have spillover….

Compensation Strategy Video #4 – Unilevel + Matrix + 60 Day Waiting Period “Spill Over Madness”

Visalus Compensation Plan Compensation Strategy To Know Before Jumping In

3 x 3 max. Rest Overflow

The image above is a visual way to see it. See. If you have real over flow in a 3×3 then it’s not longer a real unilevel. The way it’s changed up to allow people at top to send OverFlow volume down in a 60 day window is just magical.

The person at bottom is no longer the short man with the stick. It’s all about performance and if you do your work there will be volume from above waiting to help you get to the “NEXT” level.

See, this compensation strategy is one that lends itself to leveraging people at top to WANT to give you volume as long as you perform and hence the birth of “contesting” for spots and volume.

The psychology behind this is awesome. People want to “win” and what you did is build a winning organization vs one that complains about everything in the worlds.

Go get it done and this compensation strategy will come in to help you.

Visalus Compensation Plan 2 Compensation Strategy To Know Before Jumping In

3×3 but with 60 days to PLACE people

This is just a full blown matrix of 3×3 but i want to just show that people MUST go down and people above are pushing down even though unilevel doesn’t have that… this is why I say it’s a unilevel + matrix

If you noticed… in Video #4 it is Business time…. I took my glasses off. ahhah

To come in and leverage my team, my overflow, my internet marketing groups, my offline training groups, and just to hang out with a cool bunch of people moving to make some “serious” money for the masses… putting $500/month + and a BMW in their drive way…. that my friends is how we are going to help out the middle class.

So what leverage?

  • I’m the #1 money earner in Empower Network (over $90k in 9 weeks)
  • #2 all time in leads generated in MLSP
  • Magnetic Sponsoring Super Affiliate
  • Have had plenty of $1,000 days while riding a rollercoaster and $10,000 days when on vacation
  • My sponsor joined Visalus at the same time (Toby and Layla Black) and using traditional offline skills and online marketing principles brought in over 50+ people into our team in 24 hours.

Where do you think people have to go in 60 days? …. Yep… under those who work and move. There is love for all that work… no love for squatters and position hoggers… Just real love for those wanting to change their lives.

See you on the other side and leverage a real compensation strategy that works for you vs against you icon wink Compensation Strategy To Know Before Jumping In

Energy, Electricity and Gas Network Marketing Companies

You’ve probably seen or heard of the many network marketing companies that have popped up in the past 5 years or so specializing in the energy markets. The deregulation of the energy markets not only opens the doors for energy companies to enter new markets but it basically mandates that competition increase in these previous monopolistic territories. Consumers benefit tremendously as market rates for energy fall due to the increased competition. Smart energy companies seeing the opportunity to gain market share have been looking for ways to profitably enter these new markets and compete vs. entrenched energy companies that hold a distinct advantage when it comes to brand awareness and marketing budget.

One way these energy companies are finding success in competing with the big boys is through network marketing (MLM). By using network marketing instead of rolling out huge advertising campaigns energy companies can charge lower rates to consumers. As a result, instead of paying an ad agency, or Google, or any other marketing medium, the energy company pays independent reps to gather customers. Considering the size of the energy markets in the US alone (~$500 billion) the amount of money opportunistic independent reps could potentially make is staggering. Some have likened it to the California gold rush. We’re not going that far but we do think the risk/reward for participating in an energy network marketing opportunity is absolutely advantageous and here’s why:

Low Cost To Enter

From what we are seeing the entry fee to join a leading energy network marketing company ranges anywhere from $200 to $400 with a monthly website fee of $25. While this may not seem like a drop in the bucket for most one must consider how fast you can make that $200-$400 entry fee back. Pay close attention to any immediate income you can receive for signing up customers and associates. If you can quickly think of a few people you could convince to become customers or associates and that number of people could generate your entry fee back then it would seem to like a no-brainer to join.

Energy is the Product

You almost don’t even need to sell anything. Everyone has an energy bill and everyone pays an energy bill every month. What other MLM opportunity pitches a product everyone needs, uses, and will continue to use month after month? If the rates are attractive, you are not selling a service, you are helping someone save money. This fact alone has convinced many skeptics to give it a try.

Deregulation in the Energy Markets Happens Once

For many States the energy network marketing opportunity is new, a ground floor opportunity to grab a share of the marketing dollars being shelled out by these aggressive energy companies. The word is getting out and who knows how fast the market will become flooded with new people looking to get in on the action. That being said if you have any inclination to join, do it now rather than later. You snooze, you lose.

Skeptics will remain but you owe it to yourself to truly investigate the opportunity for yourself. The same type of opportunity was presented to people over 20 years ago when the telecom industry deregulated. Companies such as Sprint and MCI used the network marketing approach to build market share and in turn made many of its associates financially happy.

In the end we would say network marketing in the energy markets presents much more hope than hype!

The $100 Million Club

by Brittany Glenn and Barbara Seale

0909 coverstory intro Direct Selling News The $100 Million Club

A snapshot of 68 direct selling companies with annual global wholesale revenue of $100 million or more.

$100 Million Club Companies by Country

Germany 3

As a follow-up to our February cover story, “The Billion Dollar Club,” we decided to write a more comprehensive story about industry companies around the world with global wholesale corporate revenue of $100 million or more.

Welcome to the $100 Million Club, our effort to chronicle the global direct selling companies that have reached the $100 million mark. To our knowledge, this is the first list of its kind—an attempt to record the power of the direct selling industry by the numbers.

We compiled our list using sources such as Hoover’s Company Records and Dun & Bradstreet, SGA Executive Tracker Companies, Standard & Poor’s Descriptions Plus News, Company Briefs–Gale Group, Global Duns Market Identifiers, Market Guide Company Profiles, America’s Corporate Finance Directory and Directory of Corporate Affiliations, the companies’ own Web sites, the Direct Selling Association, the World Federation of Direct Selling Associations and other sources.

We then made every effort to contact each of the following 68 companies, so we could confirm that the information gathered was accurate. You will see an asterisk next to companies that did not verify the accuracy of the information we gathered. If you would like to update or correct your listing, please send an e-mail to100million@directsellingnews.com.

We will be the first to admit that this list is not complete. We did the best we could, and it is our sincere attempt to journal the might of the direct selling industry. What we discovered is that—despite the economy—direct selling companies are a force to be reckoned with. “Almost miraculously, our organization has continued to grow,” says Joe Urso, Aerus Chairman and CEO. “Selling high-end products is not easy, especially in a down economy. Our team has continued to grow by inspiring others to pursue the opportunity for a better life that we offer.”

Aerus is not the only company that continued to prosper in 2008, despite the recession. USANA recorded its sixth consecutive year of record sales, The Pampered Chef saw a 5 percent increase in recruiting and Tastefully Simple’s sales rose 5 percent.

In fact, a number of the companies on our list are seeing continued success in the face of economic adversity. And many direct selling executives tell us they believe the industry will emerge from the recession bigger, faster and stronger. “Like everyone, we closely monitored the economic situation last year,” said Mary Kay President and Chief Executive Officer David Holl.  “We had a solid year in 2008, and are optimistic about 2009.  Of course, we don’t take anything for granted.  As a company we realize that we must stay focused on providing quality products that end consumers want and a solid business opportunity for women.  Now, more than ever, the Mary Kay opportunity is helping women sustain their families during this challenging economy.”

And many direct selling executives tell us they believe the industry will emerge from the recession bigger, faster and stronger. “Over the course of the next few years,” says USANA President Fred Cooper, “we anticipate USANA—and the network marketing industry in general—to continue to show patterns of growth.”
