Social Media – 3 Killer Ways to Generate Business Referrals From Twitter

Socail Media3 Social Media 3 Killer Ways to Generate Business Referrals From Twitter
Twitter the killer social media connector. It started with a simple question: “What are you doing?” Yet, it has become so much more–relationship builder, meme tracker, marketing tool, community organizer, open conference line. Now, I am going to show you 3 simple strategies to have Twitter grow your business.

Setting Up Your Twitter Profile

Your Twitter profile is your resume–design it as such. When you follow people, they follow you, and in the course of any dialogue they are looking at your profile. So, make sure it quickly communicates what you can do for them and the benefit they will receive.

There are a couple of places you add this information:

Twitter Name: Use your real name–it makes it easier to find you and follow you More Info URL: Make this your business website (it can be the company you work for, a blog, or affiliate site, but it should be where you make money or prospective clients can hire you) One Line Bio: This is 160 characters make it convert–keywords or benefit statement Background Image: Create a benefits and contact landing page–don’t forget your email address and telephone number
Value, Benefit, Contact–3 steps to building a profile that converts.

Add Value By Telling What You Do

With a solid profile in place it is time to drive traffic to it.

The quickest way to get more people to look at your profile is to find and follow prospective clients. Twitter has made this marketing research very simple–Twitter Search. Simply search keywords that you think people would use when looking for your service.

Follow the ones that are looking, talking, and promoting keywords related to your services in their Tweets.

Now that you have a few people you are following begin Twittering about:

What you are working on Successes you are having Challenges you are thinking through Links to interesting posts and articles Links (in moderation) to your own blogs and articles
All the time keeping and eye toward your services keywords and quality (value) of each Tweet. You are going to build a following based on your Twittering, assuming it is interesting. If you keep your Tweets focused and keyword rich it should draw you a nice stable of potential clients.

Help Others Get Business Referrals

Also, within you following will be other people with complimentary skills and services. These are people that can help you on larger projects, as vendors, or simply as referral partners. To maximize this part of the Twitter opportunity make sure you are quick to refer someone if you see an appropriate inquiry.

Listen for Twitter Opportunity

The combination of a compelling profile, value added to the community, and reciprocity of giving out referrals will bring you opportunities. Tune your alerts and keyword triggers to listen for and highlight these inquires and you will see significant business opportunity flow from your Twitter network.

Massive Blog Traffic Tip#1 – Create Unique Content – Please Don’t Regurgitate

Blog Traffic17 Massive Blog Traffic Tip#1 Create Unique Content Please Dont Regurgitate
If you’ve been anywhere around the internet marketing scene, then you’ve heard the expression “Content is King”. Well, that’s not entirely correct. You see, the correct phrase should be “Unique Content is King”, or “Original Content is King”.

Unique content is really what sets you apart from the crowd. It’s what attracts people and drives traffic to your website or blog, which is essential if you plan to monetize your site, or sites, on the internet.

“How Can I Come Up With Unique Content?”

This is probably question number two after “What Niche Do I Choose?”. And rightly so because posting original content has been one of the biggest challenges for new marketers, bloggers, website owners, and pretty much anyone else who isn’t a professional writer.

Through experience, I have learned that “unique content” doesn’t have to be something that has never been written about before. You can write about a subject that others have written about, however, it does have to be in your own words with your own flavor.

For example, can you imagine if the founder of Burger King said, “Wait a minute, I can’t start selling cheeseburgers because McDonald’s is already doing that.” That would be ridiculous!

Both companies make burgers, each with their own spin and flavor, and they are both hugely successful.

So when you’re ready to write an article or post on your blog, by all means do some research, and write about what you like. BUT…make it unique and original. Unique content is the lifeblood of your blog or website.

Article Marketing is Your Best Viral Marketing Tool

Viral Marketing138 Article Marketing is Your Best Viral Marketing Tool
The word viral marketing is tossed around right and left in internet marketing. Viral Marketing is a phenomenon that facilitates and encourages people to pass along a marketing message.

Viral marketing depends on a high pass-along rate from person to person. If a large percentage of recipients forward something to a large number of friends, the overall growth snowballs very quickly. If the pass-along numbers get too low, the overall growth quickly fizzles.

If you can get something to go viral on the internet with a link back to a site you are promoting you can write your own paycheck.

Article marketing is one method of viral marketing. There are thousands of websites, blogs and ezine publishers begging for content. To get your article into publisher’s hands you will need to submit them to article directories, forums and newsgroup announcement lists.

There are hundreds of article directories that let you freely publish your articles to their sites. You can search of these directories using your favorite search engine. Some of the top directories include:

Ezine Articles

Idea Marketers

GoArticles

http://goarticles.com

What makes an article become a viral marketing tool?

Relevant information – information that is right on the pulse of what’s going on in your niche. For instance Google is hot, hot, hot right now in internet marketing. There are thousands of internet marketing articles on how to earn from Google. If you are a smart internet marketer you find something linked to Google and grab on because everyone is selling it and everyone is buying it. If you can’t think up new material on Google or don’t have an original idea don’t worry you can still participate. If you have recently purchased a Google related product write a review. People will appreciate the feedback. If it is a popular product there are people doing keyword searches for that specific product and possibly finding your review.

No matter what niche you are in find the hot topics and write new information about the topic or write a product review. The hotter the topic, the more people are looking for it. Publishers are going to be more willing to publish a hot topic item that is well written.

Your bio must be up to par and fit in with the theme of your article. Nothing would be worse than to write a killer viral marketing article and that is passed around like a hot potato only to get no traffic because of a bad byline.

Network Market Vs Internet Marketer – Attraction Marketing & Magnetic Sponsoring

Network Marketing79 Network Market Vs Internet Marketer Attraction Marketing & Magnetic Sponsoring

Let me start off with the term: Network Marketer. Think back to the original days of Amway or Shaklee. These old school network marketers did what we now call belly to belly presentations, hotel meetings, business cards exchanges and they picked up the phone and called everybody and their brother they knew and their brother's brothers! They quite literally pounded the phone. They created huge lists of resources and databases of everybody they knew. They built relationships with people & got referrals upon referrals. They literally created a network of people they knew and kept on expanding it to all the people their people knew and so and so and so on...

This worked and it still works today. The reason? Even with technology today ,people still want and need to by from people they know, from a referral or people they have done business with in the past.

But the average person looking to make some extra money on the side just didn't want or have the desire to make all those calls. They were too shy and embarrassed to contact their friends and family or even if they were all revved up at first when they joined, they got knocked down within the first couple of weeks. Face it, we all know what we felt like when someone we knew told us they were selling Amway or Rainbow Vacuum Cleaners!

Then along came the internet.....and they took their rolodex and imported (hand typed) them into a database and now they could communicate to all of their customers, prospects, distributors with a click of a button! WOW! Mail Merge was huge! MLM business started popping up on the internet and they could just send some emails and their loyal followers went running to their website and because they had a PRIOR BUSINESS RELATIONSHIP with these network marketers they bought from them and they went right down the line (hence the term downline line) & were making a killing.

Then we of course went through the pyramid schemes and MLM companies that offered no real products. And gave MLM a rotten name. (We still have them and people still buy into them) No matter what industry you are in you will always have the unscrupulous that will take advantage of the naive.

Then the systems guys created the websites that DO IT ALL FOR YOU! GET PAID TODAY! Direct Sales! Just drive the traffic, no need to make Cold Calls, No Bugging your friends and family & No Sorting - You just drive the traffic and our site will do the rest! 2 Ups and 1 Ups ran ramped. And then they charge you a monthly subscription service to host your website. Guaranteed income for them. The Internet Market was Born! But the Big guys had HUGE advertising budgets. They could AFFORD to drive huge amounts of traffic to their websites. The average newbie doesn't have those kinds of funds AND are failing by huge numbers. The old networkers were use to that. The idea was and still is just get as many sign ups as you can and the true network marketers will rise to the top! And that is true. They are not lying to you.

Then the Mentoring programs and consultants and the Guru's came out of the woodwork to try to instill in al that you still have to pick up the phone to build the relationships! But we Americans( 97% of us) don't want o hear that! We want to be able to buy our way in. Make huge sums of money with no experience. They pick out the 1 success story out of thousands and we believe it will happen to us. The sales letters are really to blame, but one has to some of the responsibility...Huh? The systems guys know that. So they keep rolling out new marketing site that promise the world. And some of these sites really are well put together, but the truth of the matter is most people still need to make a connection with YOU before they buy. They buy on emotion. You have to learn how to trigger that emotion and build the relationship to get the sales. Period.

Now the internet marketer understands that they must build relationships but they don't want to do it belly-to belly or via hotel presentations. So how do you accomplish that? Article writings, press releases, blogging and oh the ever so popular social network sites that are popping up every day! But the successful ones understand something else. They separate themselves from the masses. If you are doing everything everyone else is doing, do you stand out? Nope. They create their own capture pages and websites. They ARE NOT using the companies affiliate sites. They are not even marketing their business opportunity up front. These guys ARE making money. Good Money. 6K and above. Problem? They are not duplicatable. Again, the average American doesn't have the desire or knowledge to do what these guys do. The internet marketers are telling you the old school guru's are off out of date, that you don't need to make phone calls, bug friends and family, sort thru hundreds and thousands to find the few good ones. And to a degree they are right. On the other hand, the network marketer now has seminars charging you thousands to teach you what you need to know, hence making himself duplicatable. Guess What? In both cases 2%-3% will rise up and become successful. Both as a network marketer student and as a Internet marketer student. It's the 2% Rule. 2% of the people hold 95% of the wealth.

Great, so what are the other 98% to do? We know there has to be way. And where there is a will there is a way. A blending of the 2 has to come together. And in essence it really is a blending of 3, traditional businesses with brick and mortar offices that use the web to sell their products, old school network marketers and the new Internet Marketers. It's called Attraction Marketing. You may seen or heard of it already but ignored, it as we Americans have become so desensitized to information. Fact is, so much garbage is thrown at us we tend to overlook the real stuff when it slaps us in the face. I know I did. And I would have quite a few hundred thousand dollars more in my pocket today if I would have taken action when the opportunity was first presented. But the good news is... it's never to late to start again in this industry, the right way. And one more thing, you have to throw in some good old fashion common sense.

Starting a business, Any Business requires due diligence on your part. And must be taken seriously. What is it you want to accomplish? Is there a real product/service involved that is going to be wanted and need ed by people everywhere? Software is a product; information is a product, (information is the NUMBER 1 selling product out there today), nutritional supplements, education, & travel. Don't buy in to a business or not buy a business based on some else success or failures. Their success or failure has absolutely NO BEARING on yours. NONE! Remember that. It's key. Make sure the product or service is something you would actually use yourself. You have to believe in your product. You have to invest in yourself and your business. Becoming a 6K or 7K earner doesn't happen without training of some sort. But take baby steps and really evaluate what it is you are buying. Learn from the leaders who have been there, done that. Have realist expectations and be creative. If it sounds too good to be true it probably is. And if any one tells you need a huge advertising budget... tell them to pound sand and run as fast as you can.
